It’s award season, and a lot of nominations for high profile film awards have gotten released this week, including the Golden Globes. But we can’t forget about the lesser known accolades so let’s all congratulate Kim Kardashian, Most Ill-Mannered Person of 2011.
Kim has been given this lofty title by the National League of Junior Cotillions, who were kind enough to explain their choice saying it was, “making a private matter public and disrespecting the institution of marriage,” that got her the crown. Wouldn’t it be great if all major awards issued an explanation? And the Golden Globe goes to Sarah Jessica Parker, for introducing the Cosmo to America at large and making the city seem so sexy.
On the other end of the manner police spectrum, Kate Middleton was named Best-Mannered Person of 2011 . The League claims their decision was made based on, “the poise and dignity with which she conducts herself in the public spotlight,” but I think she deserves the distinction for continuing to invite her little sis to royal parties when Pippa ends up getting all the attention.
